07.18.2008 Daycare Legacy comes to an end

When i got home from vacation i was shocked and surprised to get 2 letters in the mail. The first from the Assembly of God childcare was a rate increase. About 10 minutes later into my stack of mail, i opened the 2nd letter and with sadness learned that the daycare center (Danielle has been there since she was 2!) would be closing on July 18th. This bad economy affects everyone it seems. Sadly, this couldn't happen at a worse time for our family, since i had just started back to work full time and needed them more than ever. Bubba had been there a while too and really loved his teachers Ms. Twila and Ms. Jenny. They are in the same building/school as Danielle's private Christian school so she was still attending there for the after school program. This was going to be hard on both my kids i knew. But also i knew that with every door the Lord closes, another opens so i tried not to panic-and let the kids enjoy the last 2 weeks with the teachers they knew and loved.

Ms. Twila with Bubba and Danielle. Bubba had a special fondness for Ms. Twila and it definately ran both ways. I don't think we've ever had someone in Bubba's life that didn't fall in love with him completely. He has that way with people. We tried our best to hold back the tears (for the kids sake) but it wasn't easy.

Ms. Jenny was another special person in their lives. Both teachers had been around a very long time. Both had known Danielle since she was 2 and enjoyed having Bubba in their preschool class now. We will always cherish the love and affection Ms. Jenny showed toward our children!

Miss Christy was new to AOG this past year, but she was fun and the kids liked her. In a class of mostly 3yr old girls Bubba and his friend Isaac had each other and Ms. Christine.
