Tha lazy days of summer, what is a family to do? Go to the LAKE of course! I have been once or twice, but we have never ALL gone as a family so we decided why not? Erick whined the whole time...nothing is a bigger drag than being seen in public with your parents (in swim suits no less!) and your bratty younger siblings. Awww, poor baby. It was a beautiful day and though the water was freezing, we all went in...okay everyone except Erick. I told him if he got in we could leave, but he didn't of course (good bluff eh?). Kelly & Lynnette may remember this lake from a previous visit in the spring. It was deserted and we took pictures out over the little dam at the end of the lake. It actually has a decent (though small) beach area (that is really rocky) and a nice trail with big boulders the kids just love to climb on.
Daddy and Danielle get fully submerged in the icy colder water. That's a big no thanks for mommy and Bubba. Thank goodness Bubba can't put his head underwater due to his ears. *wink*
Bubba makes the trek down from the picnic area to try out the water. "Mom there are alot of rocks" he says!
