    05.01.2009 What happens when...

This is what happens when your husband is out of town and out of sheer exhaustion you decide to stay in bed when you know full well the kids are fully awake and "up to something". I did the "please let mommy sleep" thing...and they did..minus the 15 times they came in asking can we do this or eat that in that 2 hour period. You see, they are getting to the age (at least the Diva is) that they can pour their own cereal, and turn on the TV or the DVD player by themselves. With daddy out of town momma just needed a bit more rest to recover. Dani informs me that she can take care of Bubba. So she did. What my creative little ones also did (quite ingenious dontcha think) is use some oversized paper, string from a "make your own necklace" kit, some scissors (i know...not scissors!), and tape and voila! Homemade box. They are 5 and 7yrs old people! I don't think i could have pulled this off! Anywhew they made me a present. And wrote on the box. (..translation...From Danielle and Bubba You can open this now. (First it said "know" for the word "now" and Hello after that, but she must've figured out her mistake and did a scribble to cover that up LOL)

The other side of their box creation.

And the best part was where they had used paper towels to wrap up money from the vacation fund into little sacks and tied them with the necklace string as mini presents. Aww thanks. I get to keep my own change! Well it's the thought that counts. They got an A+ and got mommy out of bed...which i think was their goal. .....Now to clean up the mess
