It wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination.
The door was a pain! Our lovely carpenter doesn't like to shim doors so he made the opening the exact size (supposedly) to fit the jamb & door.
Only it DIDN'T fit.
So we scraped. Then we used a planer. It was WORK.
But after a few hours it did work.
So now we have a bedroom for visitors - no bed - but a bedroom nonetheless.
Today is Grouting. My not so favorite. I always manage to get clean up on that job. Wiping the grout from the tile. Pain in the bum. Going to start with the bathroom, so we can get the toilet set tonite or tomorrow. Then work our way down the hallway. If we get the landing done i can get my cabinets out of storage and set those. In my mind that will make it look so much more "finished". (Not to mention i will have room for the "stuff" that is in the garage and storage. Then i can move my fridge there and voila! Happiness.
All we need now is countertop (6ft) for the cabinets at the landing and the vanity cabinet for the bathroom (i already have the top with built in sinks). If i get desperate i can use a credit card.
I'm think i'm feeling desperate!
