    07.01.2008 Knott's Berry Farm

The biggest treat so far of our vacation was a trip to Knott's Berry Farm. Unbelievably my sister had some extra tickets, and yet again treated us!

We all had a beautiful day at the park. Here is Lindsey, Michelle, Lloyd, Darla, Me and Danielle and Timothy.

Most of the day was spent in Camp Snoopy. Uncle Lloyd and Auntie Darla indulged little Bubba and showed him all the fun rides. Lloyd even went on the Semi truck ride so Bubba would get on. The first time he cried, but he went on it again and again, and we literally had to pry him off it at the end of the day he loved it so much.

Danielle's favorite thing by far was the "Sidewinder". It was a roller coaster she was just BARELY big enough to ride. In the picture you can see me, but not Danielle-she is on my right, but her little head is so short you can't even see her! The Sidewider had round cars that held 4 people (2 on each side) and 4 cars hooked together. As it rode the coaster track it not only went up, down, sideways and nearly upside down---but it also spun in circles while it did!!! This was the very last ride we went on because it was like the 10th time for Danielle and she wanted Auntie Darla to get her money's worth i think! We certainly did!

We also rode on the log ride! We had to "trick" Bubba into getting on-cuz he is very cautious! He loved the big drop at the end cuz mommy told him it was like a big slide! WHEE! He did NOT enjoy the dark tunnels and scenes with the scary animals however, so we were hard pressed to get him on it again! We had another fun day- and sadly the next day we would have to head home for Montana - our trip coming to an end. But we loved our time in California this year, that is for sure! Thanks to Grandma, Aunties, and Uncles for making this a VERY memorable summer vacation. WE LOVE U ALL!

    06.30.2008 Anaheim Angel Game !!

As a special treat, my sis & Lloyd got us some Angel's tickets so the kids could see a major league baseball game. Darla & Lloyd are BIG Angel fans and go to nearly ALL of the home games they can. To get us all seats together we had to sit up higher but the kids loved it. They both wore their Angels outfits Darla & Lloyd had sent them earlier this summer. What better time to wear them!

Bubba in his Angel gear! He sat next to Uncle Lloyd and loved it. (I think they both did) which was great cuz Bubba was starting to miss Daddy a whole lot.

Oh you can't tell Danielle loves her Uncle Lloyd now can you?! Ha ha. And isn't that pink Angels outfit too cute?

The best part of the game(for the kids at least)was when the Angels hit a home run. At Angel stadium they light off fireworks everytime they hit a homer so the kids thought that was awesome!

Missie and Lindsey hamming it up for the camera. Most of our vacation pics were of the kids so this is proof positive we were there having a good time too! Oh and how i enjoyed the soft pretzels, Cracker Jacks and Choc Chip Ice Cream Sandwiches too! Yummy.

06.29.2008 Vacation fun at the Hotel

Well we stayed at the Radisson in Whittier a few short blocks from my sister Darla's house. It was great, we could walk (though we only did it ONCE) to her house it was so close. The morning after the wedding we all (Darla, Lloyd, Michelle, my sisters Kelly & Lynnette, Andy, Aubrey, Me, Lindz, Bubba & Danielle, and Shannon) all got together at a local restaurant for Breakfast. It was nice to have "the family" all together in one sitting before the younger sis' had to head back home. Afterward, we gave Darla & Lloyd some time to RELAX, alone, after the whirlwind past few days. Danielle really wanted to go with Auntie Shannon, but instead we went back to our hotel and enjoyed the nice sunshine and the sparkling pool. It was fun. I mostly slept and the kids swam and swam with Michelle and Lindsey. It was a fun day! Originally, this was the day we were going to head back to Montana-but since Lindz didn't have to get back as soon as we though...Darla had MUCH planned for us for the next few days, and even paid for us to stay the extra nights in the hotel. (For that i will always be so thankful...we had such a great time) Love you sis!

06.28.2008 Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Prescott

It was SO HARD to pick my favorite photo of this day, there are so many i just love i could not possibly Blog them all. So here they are Darlene (I'll never get used to calling her THAT-she'll always be my sister Darla) and Llyod Prescott. They were married this day in the presence of friends and family and we were honored to have Danielle (flower girl) and Bubba (ring bearer) be part of their special day.
This is a typical photo of my two little angels. Danielle "instructing" Bubba as to what he should be doing. Turn and smile for the camera!
I just loved this photo of Steve and Shannon (Colton) with Darla. Shannon looks so beautiful. It was great to see her and spend a few hours with her getting things prepped for the wedding the day before, and catching up before and during the wedding. For those who don't know she was my best friend in Jr./High School (and beyond) well really MORE than a friend. She was my sister and we were inseperable. My family practically adopted her in as another daughter and she was always there for all the family functions. Which was a good thing since i lived with HER family most of my senior year of High School. After all these years it is amazing we still have had so much in common (the struggles of the last year or so and hadn't even realized it) and I'd fallen out of touch with her. Her boys Matt and Zach are growing like weeds and it was great to see them as well.

    06.27.2008 More Beach Fun

Danielle at the beach. These photos were actually of the day before but i just love the coloring of this one of Danielle at this time of day. The kids spent the whole day running errands with Darla & Lloyd and Lindz & I did some HB Strand shopping and some boogie boarding!! It was fun-though the water was cold and it was quite windy that day. This is the day Lindz and I both got AWFUL sunburns. I think 2nd degree for her, and nearly that on the back of my legs for me! Yikes. Who'd have thught to REAPPLY the sunscreen after we got out of the water?

Bubba, Mr. future Lifeguard is strolling the sand, get this...WITHOUT HIS SANDALS ON!!!! This was HUGE. Lindsey was a genius and with a bit of trickery we got him to do it. This is the kid that HATES to be barefoot, and DOES NOT like grass, sand or anything to touch his feet. Well this trip all that changed. We got him to first do the sandals without socks in Pismo, then he had to take off the sandals to be able to walk on the soft sand here in Huntington. HE DID IT!! I am so proud of my little guy. He is also doing GREAT on his potty training and we think any day now he will get it!!
